By day I wander the concrete jungle of corporate monkey-hood; by night I moonlight as hostess with the mostest, wannabe home-chef extraordinaire.
It is my compulsion to eat that drives me to blog about food, and I’m blogging for people like me – those who fancy themselves as amateur gourmands, but who are really more like hoovering Genghis Khans aiming to be perpetually embroiled in a frenzied food orgy.
I’m here to write about all facets of food and cooking – ingredients, how to cook them, inventing new recipes, using tools, and cooking know-how. You’re not going to find any nostalgic “I learned to cook whilst suckling at the teet of my mother as she slaved over a hot stove” blogs here. Nor are you going to find complex 75-ingredient or 4-days-to-prepare recipes, largely because of my need for instantaneous gratification. I get so much joy from designing versatile recipes that inspire variations on a theme, and am on the constant hunt for recipes that are embarrassingly easy but taste like 5-star alchemy. I hope you get as much satisfaction from them as I do lovely readers.
